At Okinawa UDS Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "our company"), we take the safety of our guests as our top priority and handle food allergies as follows.
1. We diligently check the presence of the eight allergenic ingredients specifically listed by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (milk, eggs, wheat, peanuts, shrimp, crab, buckwheat, and walnuts) through the information provided by the food manufacturers or distributors.
However, we are not able to fully guarantee that there is no allergenic contamination during the manufacturing process.
2. Please note that there is no legal obligation to label the 21 sub-ingredients that are equivalent to the eight allergenic ingredients specifically listed as above. Therefore, it is difficult to obtain accurate information on the use of such sub-ingredients, and we are only able to provide information on the eight allergenic ingredients at our company’s hotels.
3. In all areas where food is prepared and consumed, such as kitchens, restaurants, and lounges, through our daily operations we routinely handle the eight allergenic ingredients and other ingredients that may contain allergens.
Therefore, although we thoroughly wash our tableware and cooking utensils, there is a possibility that trace amounts of allergens cross-contacting other meals under the environment, and thus we cannot provide meals that are completely free of specific allergens.
4. The tongs and cutlery provided for buffet dishes are also used to serve other dishes that may contain allergens. Due to the nature of buffet service, even in the case dishes without allergens are served, there is a possibility that food, cutlery or tongs are contaminated with allergens.
Please be aware of this before using the buffet service.
5. Regarding the consumption of meals provided in the kitchens, restaurants or lounges, we ask that you make the final decision after consulting with your own physical condition and your doctor. 6. If we are unable to meet your request regarding your food allergies, and you wish to bring in your own food, please let us know in advance.
